Designer Bio
Carol Hannah Whitfield (or CH) is a transplanted gal from South Carolina and a self taught designer living in NYC and feeding her obsession with dresses on a daily basis. CH began sewing at the ripe age of seven under her mom's instruction. Over the years, her once secretive hobby blossomed into a profession as she found her home in the dreamy world of the bridal industry.
CH is a hands on designer- both artist and artisan. She works with our mills to develop fabrics from scratch, acts as lead patternmaker and draper, and spends her days running our production department a few floors down from our showroom.
Carol Hannah loves the personal nature of bridal, getting to hear her clients' stories, and helping happy folks bring their wedding day vision to fruition. When not in our studio, she can be found scouring New York's vintage markets and visiting our retailers for trunk shows.

About Carol Hannah
We’re celebrating 15 years of creating bridal magic! Launched in 2009, the Carol Hannah bridal collection is known for whimsical gowns with fluid movement, innovative textiles, and unique detailing.
With a commitment to in-house production, our full service Flagship in NYC's garment district functions as both a showroom and manufacturing space. The Carol Hannah bride is bold in her choices, adventurous in her style, and a heck of a lot of fun.Every single gown is made on-site by hand, one at a time by our team of skilled artisans spanning decades of experience in the craft.
WE BELIEVE IN MAKING IT YOUR OWN
We love tweaking our styles to suit our brides. As long as it makes sense aesthetically and is on point with our brand, we’ll do it.
We can adjust our patterns for uncommon body proportions within production and we can do it fast. Need a dress in a week? Done. Need a super specific shade of blush? We can make it. Got big tatas and a tiny waist? High five, we’ve got you covered (literally).
WE BELIEVE IN #MADEINNY
No mass production overseas here! This lets us implement the highest quality techniques – French seams, baby seams, tiny baby hems, building our own corsets, hand draping – while allowing tons of flexibility in sizing and timing.
We are proud to have received the Made in NY mark of distinction from the NYC Mayor's office for our commitment to domestic manufacturing.
WE BELIEVE IN MAGIC
As an independent design house, we are driven by the artistic side of fashion more than the commercial. Yes, we want to sell our dresses, but we won’t sacrifice true design and innovation just to sell more stuff. Our point of view is unique and we don’t just do our version of what’s already out there.
